Students, parents and mentors joined us on April 27th in the auditorium for Pitch Night. Eleven teams presented a four-minute pitch and then answered the judges questions for four minutes. While the judges deliberated on the presentations, students demonstrated their apps to the audience. The evening was a great celebration of the students' achievements. Team United from ASFG took first place for their app Afara, which helps volunteers connect with organizations. Second place went to team Jav-X for their app to help people find safe routes to bike to school or work. Judges will evaluate these teams virtually along with other teams in the Latin America to determine who will go to the final competition in San Francisco in June. Congratulations to all students and mentors.
